When security is the mission, airtightness means efficiency, it means defense. The new Consolidated Space Operations Facility at Schriever SFB brings together critical functions for the National Space Defense Center, demanding exceptional control over building envelopes. With limited glazing and strict security protocols, performance had to be airtight.
Above Green provided full envelope commissioning, verifying construction quality from the ground up. Through targeted inspections and testing, we identified and addressed potential weak points before they became risks.
The facility tested at just 0.03 CFM/SQFT, an extraordinary 12% of the allowable leakage rate. The result: a secure, resilient envelope built to safeguard national defense operations from both environmental and digital threats.
