POSITION DUTIES: For engineering consulting business, responsible and accountable for
carrying out a lead engineering and consulting role for building commissioning and air barrier
testing services. This includes leading and executing energy engineering projects such as Total Building Commissioning from design phase to close-out, reviewing architectural blueprints and submittals to meet energy efficiency standards, and providing energy engineering expertise to provide technical consulting to construction teams. Additional duties include conducting energy
related design reviews and system testing according to USACE, IgCC, and LEED standards.

Position requires Master’s degree in Energy Systems Engineering or related engineering field and
a minimum of 2 years of experience in commissioning commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities to include performing IgCC and LEED Building Commissioning using CxAlloy, conducting ASHRAE Standard Energy Audits and HVAC load calculations, developing energy models, identifying energy efficiency measures using eQuest and RETScreen, benchmarking commercial buildings, and completing ENERGY STAR certification through the ENERGY STAR
Portfolio Manager (ESPM) platform.

HOURS: 40 hrs./week, 8:00AM To 5:00 PM, Mon- Fri.

We're looking for an experienced Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) Specialist to evaluate and optimize HVAC systems across building projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct field testing and evaluation of HVAC systems
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret system performance data
  • Prepare detailed reports and document findings
  • Troubleshoot system inconsistencies and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients throughout the process
  • Utilize specialized TAB instruments and software tools to ensure accurate results

The successful candidate will have hands-on TAB field experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. NEBB or AABC certification is highly desirable. Candidates should have a Bachelor's + 2 years, Associate's + 4 years, or 6–8 years of relevant experience.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Architects, Consultants, and General Contractors on Commercial Building Projects
  • Participate in Kickoff / Coordination Calls with the Project Teams
  • Review Design Drawings for Potential Issues with the Building Envelope
  • Review Submittals for Conformance with Envelope Design
  • Inspect Building Envelopes during Installation Milestones
  • Develop Issues Logs based on Site Observations
